My name is David Roa. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. I am an American small business owner and journalist. At the age of four I moved with my family to the city of Barquisimeto, Lara State. There, I grew up and obtained my secondary studies.
In 2002, I was baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in which I volunteered as a missionary throughout eastern Venezuela for a period of two years (2004-2006).
I married Bethsabe Alvarez in 2008. The following year we started our own technology company located in east Barquisimeto, called Roaimports Group C.A. which was active for a period of ten years.
In 2013, I moved to the United States, specifically to the City of Miami, Florida. In 2014, I founded Roatech Inc. with my wife, which is dedicated to the sale of computers, electronics equipment, and technical support, located in a store in the city of North Miami Beach.
In 2019, I obtained a bachelor's degree in “Computerized Information Systems” from AGM University. In that same year I relocated with my wife to the state of Maryland. We opened a Roatech Inc. store in The Historic District of Ellicott City. At the end of 2020 I became a US citizen.
In 2021, I graduated from AGM University with a master's degree in journalism with highest grades. That same year I began my doctoral studies in "Computerized Information Systems" which I continue to this day.
I am currently writing my first book, which will deal with the colonial, independence and contemporary history of Venezuela told through the life and legacy of my ancestors. At the same time, I am starting my news website, historical and investigative journalism.
